This hojicha powder can be used in the same way as matcha. Its warm, toasted taste evokes notes of hazelnut and cocoa, making it an ideal substitute for chocolate powder for adding a touch of originality to pastry classics such as cookies, cakes, éclairs, tiramisu or mousse. It's also perfect for making delicious lattes with cow's milk or vegetable milk.
This powder is obtained by roasting tencha harvested in Uji, then reducing it to a powder. As well as giving it its characteristic taste, the roasting process eliminates most of the theine, so it can be enjoyed at any time of day, hot or cold.

I discovered this hojicha this winter with almond milk: an exceptional texture with a unique taste.
I now drink it with water, lathering it well beforehand. The only problem: often out of stock due to its success! 🤭
Very good hojicha powder. Powerful yet subtle taste. Very pleasant scent. I recommend +++!
