Originating in England, the concept of the ramune bottle was introduced to Japan in 1853 by Commodore Perry, marking a turning point in the consumption of soft drinks in Japan. At the crossroads of history and modernity, this emblematic drink has become a symbol of Japanese summers and festivals. Today, ramune appeals not only to young Japanese, but also to an international audience thanks to Japanese pop culture. Its ball bottle and many flavors make it a must-have in anime, dramas and cultural events.
